Middle Schools Receive Resolution From City Council to "Say Something" Garfield Students at Lakewood City Council

Lakewood City Council acknowledged Harding and Garfield Middle Schools for their work in keeping our students safe.   A city Resolution was declared making the week of October 16-20 as "Say Something Week" in Lakewood.  The important message middle school students were taught was to say something if they heard or saw anything that could lead to school violence.  Speakers from the Sandy Hook Project held grade level assemblies at Harding and Garfield to teach the importance of preventing school violence. Garfield Middle School students Gretchen Breudigam, Julia Jackson, Emma Hart, and Molly Burke attended City Council Meeting along with Asst. Principal Tony Chiaravalle to recieve the Resolution on behalf of both Lakewood Middle Schools.
